Room Rates

• All rates are subject to change without prior notice.

• In the event of a rate change, the rate of confirmed reservations with a deposit will be honoured.

• All rates are quoted above and include breakfast.

• All rates are quoted in South African Rand.

Booking Procedures

Provisional reservations will be held as follows:   1 month or less prior to arrival:  48 hours 

                                                                                   1 - 2 months prior to arrival:  72 hours 

                                                                                    Longer than 2 months prior to arrival: 7 days 

This is due to extremely high occupancies in summer.  For reservations between April and October, we will be happy to hold your room for 7 days.  Clouds Estate reserves the right to release any provisional reservation without notification after the above date has expired. 

Deposit payment procedure:

Upon confirmation, we require a 20% deposit, payable within 7 days, the balance is due 30 days prior to arrival.  In the event of the balance not paid by the due date, the deposit will be forfeited and the reservation will be cancelled. 

For bookings made less than 30 days prior to arrival, the full payment is due within 48 hours

Failure to comply with payment on time will result in Clouds Estate reserving the right to cancel the reservation without notification

In the event of a premature departure, the full extent of the stay, as originally booked and confirmed will be charged at 100%.   

Clouds Estate reserves the right to automatically release reservations being held for which no deposit has been received.

After a booking is confirmed, any amendments will be done subject to availability.  A fee may be charged for amendments at our discretion.

Please ensure you are in possession of a valid passport and visa (where applicable).

Please ensure you have sufficient travel insurance to cover injury, death, medical costs, repatriation, loss or damage to personal belongings, and cancellation costs incurred due to unforeseen events. 

Cancellation fees will be charged as follows:

90 days or more prior to arrival the full deposit will be refunded less an administration fee of R750.  Between 31 and 89 days before arrival, a cancellation fee equal to the deposit will be payable.  Any cancellations made 30 days or less prior to arrival, will be charged in full.

By making payment of the deposit, you agree that the aforegoing cancellation fees are fair, reasonable, and necessary to secure your reservation and to compensate Clouds Estate in the event of a cancellation.  

Facts

• Regret no infants or children under 16 are accepted in our hotel rooms.  

• The standard hotel room and 1 x luxury hotel room only have a shower (no bath). We gladly accept requests but cannot guarantee the bathroom type when making a reservation.

• Clouds Wine & Guest Estate has 2 pools, the Hotel pool is exclusively for the use of hotel guests.

• Check-in time is at 14h00 and check-out time is at 11h00.

• Should you wish to guarantee an early arrival or a late departure, we will extend the reservation at an additional charge, subject to availability 

•  From 1 January 2024, Stellenbosch Tourism will be adding a city tax of 1.15% on all guest accommodation, which is payable at the hotel on departure.
