TASTING NOTES
The fruit for this wine comes from old bush vines, grown on decomposed granite soils in Wellington. The grapes are picked by hand and pressed a whole bunches to preserve the delicate fruit and freshness of this old vine chenin.
OTHER INFORMATION
Fermented naturally in concrete eggs and then matured for 10 months before bottling.
ENJOY
This classic example of old vine Chenin goes great with a variety of seafood dishes, but can be just as enjoyable on it's own.

TASTING NOTES
This wine has a wonderful entry that shows pear blossoms, lime and citrus undertones on the nose, which is also prominent on the palate. The wine is also held together by a persistent line of acidity, adding to the freshness and longevity of the chardonnay.
Fruit grown on the estate, expresses the terroir, with minimum cellar interference. Aged and fermented in concrete and a small portion in new Burgundian oak.
ENJOY
This wine pairs beautifully with oysters and other seafood as well as gamefish.
AGING POTENTIAL
To be enjoyed now, but will mature well for another 5 - 7 years.

TASTING NOTES
This wine has a delicate, fresh entry and shows crushed seashells, citrus blossoms and freshly cut limes on the nose. The palate is tropically driven with a persistent mineral finish.
Fermented and matured in a combination of concrete egg, amphora and small French barrels.
ENJOY
This chardonnay pairs brilliantly with fresh oysters and other seafood, as well as game fish.

A very distinctive wine which shows great potential for aging 5 – 7 years.

TASTING NOTES
This wine with its lovely salmon colour is perfect for summer. Green apple and strawberries on the nose are followed by hints of peach pit. The palate is fresh and fruity with layers of citrus and a long lingering finish.
ENJOY
This wine is best enjoyed ice cold and preferably next to the swimming pool. It pairs well with a light summer salad or cheese platter.

TASTING NOTES
Subtle notes of lemon followed by green apples and pears on the nose. The wine has a fresh mouthfeel and ends in a clean lemon-like acidity. Made from 100% chardonnay grapes, it spent 12 months on the lees, adding finesse.
ENJOY
Delicious with a brunch of French toast and crispy bacon, it always pairs well with oysters and other seafood.

TASTING NOTES
A classic sauvignon, showing grassy notes and green pepper and even some white pepper on the nose. The wine has a natural acidity, reminice of cut limes on the pallet, a bright wine with intense aromas.

Ice cold, on its own or goes well with grilled fish and seafood pasta.

Dark and brooding, with black current and fynbos dominating the nose. The palace it rich & dense with ripe, round tannins and just enough acidity to balance the fruit.

This blend of Cabernet, Merlot and Petit verdot is grown on Clouds Estate and harvested, fermented and matured together. The wine spent 20 months in older French oak before being bottled with minimum filtration.

Decant if possible, enjoy with hearty meat dishes and in front of a roaring fire.

Dark, almost inky in colour with violets and other purple fruit as well as a hint of tobacco dominating the nose. A structured wine with firm juicy tannins and a long persistent finish. A field blend of cabernet, merlot & petit verdot grown on Clouds Estate and uniquely harvested, fermented and matured together as one wine from the start.
The wine spent 12 months on older French oak, before bottled, un-fined with minimum filtration.

CLOUDS PINOT NOIR 2019
TASTING NOTES
This Pinot noir is dark and perfumed on the nose with purity and structure to match on the palate from the deep rich clay its grown on. A combination of juicy red and purple fruit now in its youth will develop into a typical pinot forest floor character over the next few years.
ENJOY
We recommend this wine slightly chilled in the warmer months. It pairs well with ostrich, and is a good match with earthy flavours like beetroot, mushrooms or rhubarb.

CLOUDS SHIRAZ 2020
TASTING NOTES
Dark and brooding with black olive and purple fruit on the nose. The palate has real weight and intensity. The wine will develop beautifully in the next 5 - 10 years.
OTHER INFO
Fermented naturally with around 60% whole bunches to add some fresh tannins from the stems. This semi-carbonic maceration method also adds to the spice profile of shiraz grown in the Swartland region.
ENJOY
This wine is the perfect choice with a slow cooked winter dish like lamb shoulder or oxtail.
